I recently got to interview a new addition to the RCHS family, Mrs. Kelly Milburn. Mrs. Milburn has taught in the alternative school for the past two years and before that she taught at Taylor County, Somerset, Marion County, and Campbellsville. She teaches English/Language Arts here at RCHS and her favorite thing about it is getting to teach Romeo and Juliet (she even has a dog named Romeo).
In Mrs. Milburn’s free time she loves to watch Netflix; she just finished Parenthood and added it to her list of favorites. She also loves to watch any and all Hallmark movies. “They all have the same plot and that’s what I love. There is always a guy and a girl who get to know each other, have a conflict, and then end up kissing in the snow at the end.”
I also asked Mrs. Milburn to share a random fact about herself and she stated, “I used to fight with a girl over who got to sleep next to Micheal Carpenter (who grew up to become our Athletic Director) at nap time.”
I had a lot of fun interviewing Mrs. Milburn, she was very enthusiastic about her new beginnings and I can tell she is going to be a great asset to the RCHS faculty.
