The Mighty Laker Football team lined-up against the Clay County Tigers last Friday night for their final home game and a chance to secure a spot in the KHSAA State Playoffs. Successfully, the Lakers defeated the Tigers with a final score of 35-26. The Lakers will travel to Hart County this week for their final regular season game before the playoffs.
The Mighty Laker Bowling team traveled to Campbellsville for their first match of the season. The Lakers placed 3rd overall out of the competing teams, with Zack Kean bowling a 231. Their next match will be October, 23 at Danville.
The Laker Cross Country Team traveled to Campbellsville and Wayne County for their last meets until Regionals. At Campbellsville, several school and personal records were broken. Jared Sanders placed 4th overall with a new school record of 18:48. Marlene GFrorer also her personal record with a time of 30:10. Four other Lakers finished top 10 breaking a school record with an average time of 19:27. At Wayne County, Jared Sanders placed 27th overall with a time of 19:34. The Mighty Lakers will be traveling back to Wayne county for their Regional meet.
