Baseball season is just around the corner and we cannot wait to watch the Laker Baseball team as they begin their season this spring! From this point on, when you enter the gates of Laker Field, you will be walking on “Kamos Carpenter Way”.
Over the weekend this road was named after the first baseball coach at Russell County, Coach Carpenter. He began the Laker Baseball legacy in 1957. The event was huge as Coach Carpenters wife, son, and many of the Laker Baseball alumni were in attendance.
Coach Carpenter will always be remembered as a man of great spirits and for always being an amazing coach to the Laker Baseball team. The team is proud to say that Coach Carpenter will always be part of Laker Field and the Mighty Laker Baseball legacy!
