Each year, RCHS Drama puts on a great performance for the community and this year it features the return of “A Charlie Brown Christmas”.
They began rehearsing on October 23rd and are continuing to put in so much effort and hard work. The entire cast is composed of RCHS students and in addition to that, there are four students leaders. Kaylyn Bartrug is the stage manager, Sami Burton is the assistant stage manager, Marley GFrorer is the dance captain, and Payton Pearson is not only the music director but also the house manager.
The performance will take place at The Star Theatre on Main Street on December 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16. You can purchase tickets to attend the show and learn more about all of the great things happening at the Theatre at startheater.org. Tickets are $6 and for any student wishing to attend, you can also see Mr. Flatt to purchase your tickets.
When speaking with Mr. Flatt, I asked him if there was an important message he would like to share with the community. He said, “It’s amazing how hard a group of kids will work toward a common goal. I am so proud of my cast and crew of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and the dedication they have put in. All of them are learning things that cannot be taught in the classroom. They all truly deserve time in the spotlight.”
