National Honor Society Inducts New Members

This morning, the RCHS National Honor Society held their induction ceremony of the junior and senior students that have a cumulative GPA of a 3.75 or higher. These students have worked hard their freshman and sophomore years to be able to join this prestigious organization, and have demonstrated qualities such as responsibility, respect, trustworthiness, fairness, caring, and citizenship.

Two guests for each inductee were invited to come join the celebration of this program and share a breakfast provided by the RCHS kitchen staff. Overall, there are 34 juniors and 46 seniors in NHS. The officers of this organization are: President – Brannon Lawson, Vice President – Addison Loy, Secretary – Colton Carnes, Treasurer – Megan Back, and Historian – Kate Proctor.  They lead the Russell County High School’s National Honor Society towards success and also give back to the community that supports us by developing community service projects for the entire organization be a part of.

The students of NHS are very thankful of their sponsors, Rebecca Walters and Robin Rixon, for guiding them to become leaders in our community and school and teaching them to be productive and caring citizens of Russell County.
