The past few days have been extremely busy for our Senior Explorers Club as they traveled to New York City for their annual year-end trip. Fresh from Prom on Sunday night May 5, over 40 seniors plus chaperones met at the high school to board the charter bus for the Big Apple.
Once they arrived in NYC, they hit the ground running. Monday began the fun-filled week of sightseeing, as they had lunch at Grand Central Terminal and toured the 9/11 memorial. This was a truly humbling experience for all.
Tuesday was another busy day full of sightseeing, as the club visited High Line Park, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, and Times Square. They ended the day taking-in a popular Broadway play, “Aladdin.”
On Wednesday, the club toured the Metropolitan Museum of Art (aka The MET). The day also consisted of touring St. John the Divine Cathedral, shopping in China town, and dinner in Little Italy.
The Senior Explorers Club concluded their trip on Thursday and took in some last-minute sightseeing on Wall Street, Federal Hall, and a cruise by The Statue of Liberty.
The group returned early Friday morning after having a blast of a trip! Special thanks to Mrs. Devin Godby, Mr. Greg Allen and everyone else who made this trip possible.
