Saying Goodbye To Mr. Bertram

As another class graduates, another long-time teacher at RCHS is retiring. Mr. Rondal Bertram, who started here in 1999, is finishing up his last year of teaching before heading into a well-deserved retirement.

Mr. Bertram has taught classes for the pathway of Engineering and Technical Design.  When he started here at RCHS, he instantly made an impact on so many students and faculty.  He coached our Mighty Laker basketball team for several years.  He also has a love for martial arts; in his early years here he trained many students and took them to compete in several tournaments.

Not only will he be missed for his amazing teaching skills, but he will be missed for his dedication to his students. He is a friend to everyone, and can always make a person smile or laugh.  Mr. Bertram will reside in Nashville, Tennessee and looks forward to new adventures.

As we know, he has children and grandchildren here, so he won’t be a stranger.  In the meantime, he will be greatly missed by all at Russell County High School, and forever remembered.
