In order to prepare students for upcoming ACT testing early next year, Russell County High School is now offering ACT Prep Tutoring Sessions after school. All students in grades 9-12 are welcome to attend. During these sessions, students will have the opportunity to practice their Math, English, and Science skills.
Math face-to-face sessions will take place on Thursdays with Mrs. Pam Wilson in Room 148 beginning tomorrow, November 7. Mrs. Wilson will also be offering “virtual” tutoring sessions–please see her for details and arrangements.
English sessions will take place on Wednesdays (beginning today November 6) with Mrs. Kendra Popplewell in Room 114. Science sessions will take place on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays with Ms. Carlyn Causey in Room 130 beginning Tuesday November 12. The session times are from 2:45-3:30 PM. There will also be a free third meal for students provided by the cafeteria.
Students, if you are interested in participating please sign up with the instructor(s) at least 1-2 days ahead of the scheduled tutoring session date. This is a great opportunity to prepare for the ACT and increase those scores!
In addition to the after school tutoring sessions, students are encouraged to use the following digital resources in preparation for the ACT. The Magoosh ACT Test Prep App (free in your mobile App Store), Kaplan’s Free Online ACT Practice website, and Number2.com‘s free ACT Prep.
